As an American expat who has lived in Singapore, China, Japan, Germany, and Portugal, I am no stranger to packing up my things and moving halfway around the world. I can assure you that diving headfirst into a new environment where you have to contend with a new culture, language, mentality, set of accepted business practices, and more is difficult to do once, let alone multiple times.
